My name is Liesbeth Soeterbroek. By profession I am a fashion designer having graduated from the Mode Academy in Amsterdam. I previously had an Etsy shop for 15 years making children’s clothes from recycled materials under the name Dressme.
With this online webshop I really want to empower home sewers by providing a comprehensive collection of timeless retro/vintage inspired patterns that are accessible and easy to use. I have simplified the construction and tailoring of each item to make them suitable for beginner and intermediate sewers.
I have devised a sizing system that is used consistently across all patterns. Sizes increase uniformly from one to the other which suits the stretch fabrics these patterns are designed for. Always consult our body size chart before choosing which size to make - every pattern includes one in its images. On choosing your size you can be assured that every pattern follows the same system.
I pride myself in trying to craft the best product I can and am constantly improving my patterns and tutorials. The Patterns are created using Adobe illustrator software. If you have any comments, or spot a typo in any of our patterns or tutorials, do feel free to contact me, I am very human!
