Jumpsuit

A jumpsuit is a garment that combines the top and bottom, making it one piece. With just one garment piece you create a total outfit. Did you know jumpsuits were originally designed in 1919 to be worn by parachute jumpers? That's why they are called jumpsuits. Today it's a real retro wardrobe must-have. Choose between a 40s style version with puffy sleeves, a rounded collar and buttons or go 60s with a regular sleeve, straight collar and a zipper. Choose for either jumpsuit a heavier jersey like a punta, jaquard knit or scuba crêpe. Want to incorporate some print? How about a small graphic jaquard, or a floral print for a real flower power vibe. This tutorial includes pattern adaptions, I highly recommend making a test version first and adapt it to your perfect fit.

• A0 Version for overhead projector - this version is simplified with thicker lines - all pieces are aligned on the grain line

Jumpsuit

Een jumpsuit is een kledingstuk dat de boven- en onderkant combineert, waardoor het één geheel wordt. Met slechts één kledingstuk creëer je een totaaloutfit. Wist je dat jumpsuits oorspronkelijk in 1919 werden ontworpen om door parachutespringers te worden gedragen? Daarom worden ze jumpsuits genoemd. Tegenwoordig is het een echte retro garderobe musthave. Kies tussen een jaren 40-stijl met pofmouwen, een ronde kraag en knopen of ga voor de jaren 60 variant met een gewone mouw, rechte kraag en een ritssluiting. Kies voor beide jumpsuits een zwaardere jersey zoals een punta, jacquard breisel of scuba crêpe. Wil je wat print toevoegen? Wat dacht je van een kleine grafische jacquard, of een bloemenprint voor een echt flowerpowerpak. Deze tutorial bevat patroonaanpassingen. Ik raad ten zeerste aan om eerst een testversie te maken en deze aan te passen aan jouw perfecte pasvorm.
