The sweetheart dress is a real fifties classic with a fitted bodice and a pencil skirt with a slit at the back. The neckline is heart shaped with various depth options, finished with a facing or elastic tape. You can also choose to give the front some elasticated pleats. This style is suitable for a print but also great in a plain colour. To emphasise the waist you can make a cute narrow belt with a buckle. Perfect for every season. Choose puffy or cap sleeves. For a summer dress choose a single jersey knit in cotton. In Autumn, try a french terry or a punta.

Sweetheart Pencil Dress

De sweetheart dress is een echte jaren '50 klassieker met aangesloten fit en "pencil" rok met split achter. De hals heeft een hartvormige uitsnijding die je kunt afwerken met een beleg of met een elastisch bandje. Je kunt er ook voor kiezen om de hals een leuk rimpel effect te geven. Dit model is heel geschikt voor een print maar ook mooi in een uni. Om de taille te accentueren maak je er een smal ceintuurtje bij met een gespje. Voor dit jurkje heb je de keuze uit pof- of kapmouwtjes. Je kunt deze jurk maken in een single (katoen/elasthane jersey of een wat zwaardere French terry of zelfs een mooie punta kwaliteit.
